Writing a travel blog post from 35,000 feet up in the air seems fitting, right? 2017 has brought a significant amount of travel to me and with that, I have really learned the ins and out of travel style. Now, I am well aware that I will NEVER look like Victoria Beckham when I exit the aircraft, but that doesn’t mean that I need to look like a bum when traveling.

Travel style is tricky, but I think we can all agree that comfort is key when you are hitting the road. For me, this starts with my footwear. If my feet hurt you can see it on my face and my body language. With that in mind let’s take a minute to chat about the perfect travel booties, the Kipling Peep Toe Bootie by Circus from Sam Edelman. Aside from their $39.99 price tag, these booties are a travelers dream.

Let me give you a couple of reasons why:

  • The 3 and 1/4 inch stacked heel gives you just the right amount of height without killing your feet. The stacked heel is key for comfort. You will never find me in a stiletto at the airport!
  • Booties with a cooling effect? Yes, that does exist. The perforated upper on these booties provides for a nice cooling effect. Nobody likes sweaty feet!
  • Stability. Traction on the outsoles of these booties provides stability. There is nothing chic about running to the gate and slipping because of your booties!
  • An adjustable buckle slingback strap. We all have different sized feet and we know that, so an adjustable strap is necessary if we are going to be strutting our stuff in style at the airport.
